USCIS began accepting applications to renew DACA

On January 13, 2018, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began accepting applications to
renew Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”) pursuant to a Federal Court order issued on
January 9, 2018.  The government has now asked the U.S. Supreme Court to directly review the January
9 th Federal Court order, while seeking to skip the normal process that would ensue before the 9 th Circuit
Court of Appeals. In the interim, USCIS is continuing to accept DACA renewal applications although the
appeals court could limit those who can benefit from this development in the future.  If you have ever
been granted DACA, we encourage you to contact our office promptly to determine if you qualify to
renew your DACA benefits.
